Instructor Bios

Jeff Skillman Sensei, Head Instructor

Jeffrey Skillman specializes in teaching self-protection for the real world. In his 10 years of teaching, he has trained thousands of people to protect themselves and their loved ones. His students have included soldiers, police officers, doctors, teachers, parents, and women and men from all walks of life.

He currently holds the rank of godan (5th degree black belt) and the license of Shidoshi (Teacher) in Budo Taijutsu and has his own dojo in Toledo, OH.

Bernie Lloyd, Assistant Instructor

Bernie Lloyd is a 2nd degree black belt (nidan) and assistant instructor for the Bujinkan Shin'Yu dojo. He has trained in the Bujinkan since 2000. Lloyd is a dedicated husband and father of two.

Peter Trakas, Assistant Instructor

Peter Trakas is a 1st degree black belt (shodan) and assistant instructor for the Bujinkan Shin'Yu dojo. He has trained in the Bujinkan since 2000. Trakas is a student, and Bujinkan Shin'Yu's youngest assistant instructor.

Andrew Johnson, Assistant Instructor

Andrew Johnson is a 1st degree black belt and assistant instructor for the Bujinkan Shin'Yu dojo. He began his training with Skillman-sensei in 2002. He is currently attending school to become an Emergency Medical Technician.
